Storm Damage & Insurance Estimates
A documented inspection after wind or hail, and an estimate written in the format insurers read.
Free storm damage quote
Free. No obligation. Takes about a minute.
After a hurricane, a hailstorm or a hard thunderstorm, the damage that matters isn’t always visible from the driveway. Lifted shingles reseal badly, creased tabs fail months later, and water finds flashing that shifted.
The roofer documents what the storm did with dated photos and writes the estimate in carrier format, itemising replacement cost, depreciation and the net claim, so an adjuster can follow it line by line.
What’s included
- Roof inspection with dated photo documentation
- Aerial measurement of the roof
- Emergency tarping where it’s needed to stop further damage
- A line-item estimate in insurer format
- Repair or replacement by a GAF Certified™ roofing contractor
Questions
Storm damage: common questions
Will you deal with my insurance company for me?
No. A roofing contractor can’t negotiate or adjust your claim; that’s between you and your insurer, or a public adjuster if you hire one. What you get is the inspection, the documentation and a detailed estimate of the work.
Do I have to pay my deductible?
Yes. The deductible is yours to pay. In many states it is illegal for a contractor to waive, pay or rebate it.
How soon after a storm should I get the roof looked at?
Soon. Policies set deadlines for reporting damage, and small openings get worse with each rain. Check your policy for the time limit that applies to you.
